The Hunger Games!

Like most of the country, I am absolutely OBSESSED with "The Hunger Games".  This past Thursday, the Torero Program Board had a trip to see the midnight premier!  The Torero Program Board is an incredible organization on campus that organizes fun on campus events.  Every friday night they show a movie outside of the Student Life Pavilion, and they have various concerts, events with free food, and other fun activities that really enrich campus life!  They work super hard, and we are really lucky to have them at USD.  The ticket office sold tickets for the "Games" for $5 (totally awesome!) and then large buses came and picked us up a half hour before the movie.  It was such a fun night, and the movie (in case you haven't seen it yet!) was absolutely INCREDIBLE.  I highly recommend it.  It was such a great night out with fellow toreros!

Big/Little Reveal!

There has been so much going on at USD lately!  Last week  was Big/Little Reveal for my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.  USD has a wonderful Greek life system.  I just pledged this year and I'm really enjoying my time with Theta.  For every chapter, each new member gets a "big", which is sort of like a "big sister" in the sorority.  You then become the "little".  It's really cool because as it grows, sorority "families" form, and it's a great mini support system within the sisterhood.  All week I received wonderful crafts and gifts from my big, except they were anonymous!  She kept me guessing all week, but it only made it more fun and more exciting once I found out who it was!  Here are some of the gifts I got from my big:
I put these cute KAO letters on my laptop case!

it was so sweet of my Big, and I couldn't wait to finally get to meet her!  We had the reveal at the Lilly Pulitzer store in Fashion Valley Mall (which is conveniently five minutes from USD!)

This is me with my wonderful Big, Maddie, and then some with her big, my grandbig, Emily.  It's so nice to have them in my "family" =)
